ATIKU MAKES A TRIUMPHANT ENTRY INTO ASABA ÀS HE CAMPAIGNS FOR VOTES IN THE FEBRUARY 16 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION

The presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has promised to make all the sea ports in the state funtional if voted into office on February 16, 2019.

Addressing an intimidating crowd of PDP faithful at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba during the PDP Presidential campaign rally, Alhaji Abubakar said when reactivated the sea ports would create jobs for the youth and boost the nation’s economy.

The PDP Presidential candidate who arrived the Stephen Keshi Stadium with his wife, Jennifer, his running mate, Mr. Peter Obi, the National chairman of the PDP, Prince Uche Secondus, Senate President and Director General of the PDP Presidential Campaign Council, Dr. Bukola Saraki, Delta state Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa among others, said there was no alternative to PDP because the APC which promised Nigerians change had failed to deliver on the promise and should be sent parking through the instrumentality of the Permanent Voter Cards.

ATIKU Abubakar noted that the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC had deliberately abandoned many projects in the south south region because the PDP was in control of government in the zone, and promised to change the narrative by completing all such projects if given the mandate.

He also promised to complete the second Niger bridge which the APC had failed to complete despite the promise made to the people, pointing out that all his promises could only be fulfilled with the support of every eligible voter in  Delta state for him and other PDP candidates.

Alhaji Abubakar said Dr. Okowa was among the best Governors in the country which explained the numerous awards given to him by notable organisations within and outside the country.

He called on Deltans to ensure Okowa’s reelection in the March 2 gubernatorial election.

For their part, Governor Okowa and the Director General of the PDP Presidential Campaign Council, who is also  President of the Senate, Dr.Bukola Saraki reaffirmed that Delta State was a stronghold of the party, and would deliver the highest votes, adding that the PDP Presidential candidate would bring peace and development to the nation which the Buhari administration had failed to do.

In their remarks, National Chairman of the PDP, Prince Uche Secondus and the Vice Presidential candidate of the party, Mr. Peter Obi said Alhaji Atiku Abubakar had all that was needed to make Nigeria work again and  urged the people to vote for the PDP and be ready to defend their votes by resisting any attempt to rigg the elections.

The highlight of the rally was the presentation of the party’s flag to Governor Okowa and his running mate, Deacon Kingsley Otuaro by the National chairman of the PDP Prince Uche Secondus.
