Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa has described the oldest reigning king in the State, Ovie Richard Layeguen Ogbon Ogoni-Oghoro the first, the Ohworode of Olomu Kingdom, as a role model to many people for his outstanding leadership and accomplishments.
Governor Okowa, in a congratulatory message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Charles Aniagwu, to mark the monarch’s attainment of the age of 102, noted that the Royal Canon is blessed to have been a centinarean and still looking strong, healthy and ready to offer useful advice to leaders at all levels.
The Governor, on behalf of his family, the government and people of Delta state, prayed that the legacy of peace, harmony, prosperity and steadfast progress which the Olomu Kingdom had witnessed since the monarch’s reign would endure.
