GOVERNOR OKOWA PROMISES ENDURING LEGACIES AS HE CAMPAIGNS IN ABOH

Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has promised to leave enduring legacie in the state at the end of his second term in office.

The Governor made the promise at Abor, Ndokwa east local government area in continuation of the state wide People’s Democratic Party campaign.

He said the next tenure would be dedicated to youth empowerment and job creation, even as he assured of more  development projects across the state.

Governor Okowa listed the achievements of his administration in the area to include, the construction of the Ushe township road, Ossissa road, Iselegu road, and the Beneku road, pointing out that work on the Beneku-Kwale bridge would soon commence.

Appreciating the massive turnout of supporters at the rally, the Governor urged party faithful not to rest on their oars until all registered voters had collected their Permanent Voter Cards and vote for the PDP.

Governor Okowa charged them to move as a family to every unit and ward in the local government area to campaign for all PDP candidates in the area, adding that he was expecting overwhelming votes from Ndokwa east.

A leader of the party in Ndokwa east local government area, Chief Godswill Obielum, listed projects in the area to include the Iselegu, Ushe, Ashaka, Beneku and Abor roads.

Others are medical outreach programmes and establishment of sickle cell clinic by the 05 initiative of the Governor’s wife, renovation and upgrade of facilities in health centres, and upgrade of facilities in primary and secondary schools in all the wards.

Introducing the party’s candidates to the people, the state Chairman of the PDP, Barrister Kingsley Esiso, said the APC should not be given another opportunity to inflict hunger on the people, pointing out that the ruling party had failed to address the menace of Fulani herdsmen among other national problems.
